Better late than never...

Since Thanksgiving is literally right around the corner, I thought I should probably post the pictures from Halloween. So, here they are. Some are from the Halloween party with they play group and the rest are from trick or treating. Did I mention that my Mom made Reece's costume from scratch?

And Pumpkin Patch Part 2

This time with Aunt Amy. Reece overcame her fear of pumpkins and both kids were in great moods.

The Pumpkin Patch

I have this blog for all of two seconds, and already it's been neglected. So here are pictures from the pumpkin patch. We went twice, once with daddy, and again when Auntie Amy came to visit. It turns out that the first time we went I did not get a single picture with s smile from either kid. Reece is apparently afraid of pumpkins (who knew?) and Max is not really all that happy being propped up against a pumpkin (especially when he ended up falling over in slow motion). Anyway, in our efforts to buy locally we went to BiZi Farms, which is right down the street from us. And let me tell you, our pumpkins were so big they kicked our neighbors pumpkins butts! Even better was they were free with admission, which included a petting zoo, corn maze, hay tower and a whole bunch of other stuff that Reece refused to enjoy.

Max's first food!

Today Max had his first taste of rice cereal. It took him a while to get the whole spoon concept but he seemed to warm up to it in the end...
Good thing Reece was sleeping, or this could have gone very wrong!

And of course, no post is complete without a picture of Reece. Since she's sleeping, here is on from last night. She has become quite the comedian lately!

Great Papa's 90th Birthday

We just got back from California last week. We had a great time, Max got to meet my side of the family, and spent some quality time with his Great Papa. Reece was stingy with the kisses as always but she did give her Great Papa a ton. No one else got any kisses, her Great Aunt Rosemary even resorted to bribery, but not even ice cream worked. And we got to see my cousins, and my 2nd cousin, Tyler, who is only 6 weeks and made Max look like a giant!

We all had a great time and we were only back for a few days before we left again to head to my mom's for Salmon Days. We got the kids new winter hats and Max got a sign to hang on his bedroom door.Total success!

Reece uses the potty, sort of

Today her two friends Wyatt and Nolan came to play, and after Nolan went home for a nap she decided to show off for Wyatt. She went to the bathroom, ripped off her fancy cloth diaper, and sat on the potty. She didn't do anything, but it's a start, and I'll take it!

Getting So Big...

Ryan dressed them for football on Sunday. He thought they might bring the Seahawks some good luck, they lost anyway...but the kids looked super cute!

This is for you, D!

I was recently informed that I should start a blog by a friend of mine I was sharing baby tips with. Personally, I don't really have that much to say, so I thought it was a silly idea, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that it would be a great way for family and friends who don't live near us to keep up with our lives. So I'm going to give it a try, and if I get bored I can always delete it. So, D, this is all because of you and if it goes terribly wrong, it will be all your fault! Here goes nothing!

So for those of you that I haven't seen in a while here's whats going on with the DeMotto/Kramers. (No, I haven't changed my name yet and it drives Ryan crazy but personally I prefer DeMotto)

Reece is turning 2 in November and has quite the attitude lately. She is speaking in full sentences but sometimes you need a "Reecie translator" to understand what she'e saying. She has a boyfriend named Wyatt, and is obsessed with my mom's dog "coocker." She loves to roll in dirt and is constantly getting dirty, and her newest trick is taking off her diaper every chance she gets. Every night before I go to bed I have to make sure she's still in her diaper and PJ's and most of the time she's not.

Max is 4 months old, and both Ryan and I feel like he can not possibly be this old already! He is HUGE, he's only in the 50th percentile but he is already so much bigger than Reece was at that age. He can roll over and calm himself down all on his own! (gotta love that) Max also happens to be the most relaxed baby ever, he hardly ever makes any noise and I was told today that even his cry is quite. He doesn't even mind when his sister sits on him, I just wish he would stop getting so big so fast!

Ryan is hard at work as always, and has a ton of new clients this year! (yeah for client bonuses!) The partners at his work are super flexible with his time off, so if I desperately need him at home he can usually come home. He's doing a ton of networking and  was recently asked to join an invite only group made up of all of the "up and coming" professionals in Vancouver. He is also on the board of the new dental clinic in Vancouver for low income families, and from what I can tell he's basically running the whole clinic himself!

I am enjoying staying at home, and am still part of the mom's group that I joined last year. I have made some great friends and it's always nice to hang out with grown ups! Currently I'm most looking forward to Mom's Night Out this Saturday, and next week it's off to California for my grandpa's 90th bday. Vancouver is growing on me, but I still love to visit my mom in Sammamish.

So, now that that's out of the way I'll have to figure out how to post pictures and then hopfully I'll be able to keep up with this whole blogging thing...
